Today at Adobe MAX Adobe will be announcing the title to thier bridge application on the Flash Platform once known as Thermo now offically titled Flash Catalyst. This is an exciting announcement to the world of RIA's and Flash Platform develpment. With the release of Flash Catalyst Adobe will be working to bridge the very large gap between designers and developers. A world that has been for the most part seperated over the years.

I know this is not going to be the fix to finding understanding in our battle grounds. But it will help grow the two disiplines closer. Just having Adobe see the benfits of a product like this will show to many companies that designer and developer relationships are that much more important. I know with Adobe's release of CS4 products they have again tried to advance the intregration and workflow for building all types of media. Flash Catalyst will also be a huge step forward to their quest for intragration in the Interactive world. I am really looking forward to the new breed of devigners (designers/developers) that will emerge in our industry as this new role begins to unfold.

One thing I really hope Adobe does next is takes a look at their CS4 bundles and starts to add in new packages that include Flash Catalyst and Flex. I feel like many of their suites have fallen short in the Interactive world. But I'm sure they will revisit this as their product lines continue to grow and grow closer together.
